Canon Points CANON POINT 1- The Matheson Clan immigrated over when Kaine's great-great-grandparents wanted to give their line to experience new things as well as have a chance at finding their fated mate. Though it is a bit of a legend, the Matheson family believe in it more than most because they have witnessed it happen. Kaine is the youngest of five children and is treated as the baby of the family. His older siblings are protective of him, especially Jillian and Dominik. He was also a surprised child, since his parents thought they were done and could not conceive again due to the complications that had happened when Dominik was born. The news of Lionel being pregnant was joyous through the whole family, and it had them making sure the pregnant omega was taken care of. Especially when the doctor order for Lionel to be put on bed rest during the last trimester of his pregnancy. When Kaine was born, every member of the family was there, along with close friends. The delivery was one that had to be done as a cesarean since the doctor was concerned that complications could happen again. His school life was not an easy one, since he was seen as either this Matheson's or that Matheson's sibling. There had been times that it had caused him to get bullied. Which had resulted in one of his sibling's coming to protect him. When it was time for him to present, nothing happened. Which lead them to thinking he was a beta like his sister Breann. It wasn't until when he was seventeen that he was hit with his first heat. A heat that had led him to being taken to the hospital and hospitalized for almost a week. It was during that time that it was discovered that he is a recessive omega. His mom was happy to hear that one of his children was an omega, and the fact that Kaine was a recessive was something that no one in his family cared about. It wasn't until before he left for college that he found out what being a recessive and omega meant. CANON POINT 2- During the summer before heading off to college, Kaine took a trip with his best friend Hugh. The trip was meant to be a relaxing one before the two headed off to separate colleges. It was while on that trip that Kaine met an alpha that seemed interested in him. The two even went on a date and hung out. It was during the last hang out that Kaine was hit with a heat. He thought things would be fine since he’d had a heat around Hugh. However, this alpha reacted completely different. The alpha not only pinned Kaine down, but also tried to strip him before trying to bite his nap. Luckily Hugh happened to come into the room and stopped the alpha from biting Kaine. After that, Kaine has been even more careful when it comes to being around alphas and has been trying even harder to appear as a beta. Though he hoped nothing like that would happen again, it unfortunately did in his last year of college. However, this time he wasn’t in heat or had anything to do with the alpha. The alpha was in rut and he tried to stop from going after a fellow classmate. A classmate that he would later learn was already mated which had upset the alpha that went after her.
