The gift of a soul reader explained

What is a Soul Reader?
Laurel's take on it is that its like a little peek at the person. She knows that some shades of light and dark or grey can tell that a person is more on the good or evil or even how corrupted side of things. Though she isn't fully sure if that is true for all people since she doesn't get to know all the people whose souls she has seen. With her gift, there is only one way for her to see their souls and that is if she touches them.

Humans
Human souls are seen as a hue around them. Kind of like an aura only more light or dark shades of the black and white spectrum. There could be some grey thrown in there for levels of corruption that has happened in that person's life.
Shifters
A shifters soul is seen as what they turn into along with some of the light and dark hues of white and black in it. There is often times of some various shades of grey seen since that shows if they happen to be corrupted or not.
Vampires
A vampire shows nothing, but a small haze on the egdes of their body since they are a species that are known to be soulless.
Witches/Warlocks
For witches and warlocks she happens to what element a specialized witch/warlock practices. For example - a water witch/warlock would have a wave like haze around them and a fire witch/warlock would have a haze that could almost give of the appearance of the person being on fire. With an air witch/warlock it would almost appear as if their hair is blowing in the wind. For an earth witch/warlock it would appear almost as if there was a tree surrounding them. Generalized witches/warlocks are diffucult to tell since each one could focus more on a different aspect of generalization magic.
Fae
Most fae show bright, so bright that she feels the need to wear sunglasses because of how blinding it is. Though there are some fae out there that are considered to be evil and those are still bright, but it's a dull brightness. The dullness to it doesn't give her any kind of need to to wear sunglasses since its not blinding. Then there is the ones that she considered to be in the middle of the two, those ones are right in the middle of bright and dull. Often times it depends on the surronding areas of where she meets them on if she feels the need to have sunglasses on with how bright they have to them.
